Battling the elements!

Here is Jer Bear bundled up before taking a walk outside in the California winter.

Stand in the place where you live!

Quoting the REM song in the title...do you remember it?
Jeremiah loves to stand...more than sitting! His little legs are getting quite strong, but we just need to work on those tummy muscles! This photo was taken during the first week of January.

Prelude to a raspberry

As mentioned before, Jeremiah is definitely quite "social" according to the occupational therapist and babbles quite a bit. He recently has started to try to blow raspberries as you can see in the videos below!

PART 1

PART 2

My Mom Rocks!

Jeremiah is on all formula now & we've seen a bit more spit-up as is supposedly common of formula fed babies. No worries...we have all kinds of fun bibs. This is Steph's fav...

A few of my favorite things...

I LOVE.....
my bathtime

Swinging in my swing

or sitting in my chair

My "Cousin D" pyjamas (OK....maybe that's Aunt Jennie's favorite!)

Playtime with my inchworm

Kisses from my mommy!

The Next Idol?

Jeremiah enjoys attending church with us. He is overwhelmed with all there is to see...stained glass, people, candles, light fixtures, etc. He is very good and hasn't cried yet while at church. He did try to sing, though! (As a disclaimer, Steph and I do have creative imaginations, but this is what we witnessed!) During the responsorial psalm, Jer would babble during during the time where the congregation is to sing the response. One time he did try to take the solo away from the cantor, but a shhh seemed to silence him. Then he started to babble when the congregation sang The First Noel. Do we have a future choir boy? Future American Idol?

So when we got home, I tried to get Jer Bear to mimic some sounds and this is what happened. It cracks us up how intent his face is!

Then we witnessed how close babbling/singing can get to screaming. Maybe it's my fault...some people claim that sopranos scream. Perhaps I didn't teach Jer correctly!

Life after Botulism

The day Jeremiah's tube was removed, he seemed to find his voice! He sampled all octaves...bass to boy soprano! (See video "Next Idol?")

Jeremiah may be a little developmentally delayed since he's not rolling over yet, but otherwise, life is real good as you can see from Jer's pants!

Dressing for the holidays

One of Steph's specialities: being fashionable! And that definitely transfers to Jeremiah! Look how he's sporting various apparel for the different holidays!

A boo hat for Halloween

A Turkey outfit for Thanksgiving along with Ugg boots Aunt Sherie brought back from Australia. (Little known fact, the pilgrims wore Ugg boots, too! Just kidding!)

And a Santa Hat for Christmas!
